Curtis A. Vock

Curtis Vock is an entrepreneur, inventor and patent attorney.

 His most recent and current venture is ThinkVillage (www.thinkvillage.com), a company which aims to reduce gross inefficiencies from worldwide patent systems. Prior to ThinkVillage, Vock founded and managed PhatRat Technology (www.phatrat.com), which employs wireless smart sensors to provide real time feedback for athletic performance. Vock also founded Golf Age Technologies (GPS Golf, 3D ball tracking), SeeUV (colored sunscreen), Civix-DDI and several other ventures over the past 15 years.

 

As an inventor, Curtis Vock holds over 55 patents, more than 90% of which have been licensed or sold to industry. He is a partner of the Kansas City law firm Lathrop & Gage (www.lathropgage.com); he founded the firm's Boulder office and actively represents many corporations, universities and emerging businesses. Prior to law, Vock was a design and systems engineer for the military industrial complex (Honeywell, Loral, Lockheed). He has extensive experience in space earth observing satellites, tactical weaponry and reconnaissance. He is also a four year veteran of the United States Air Force in the air weather service.
